Retrieve / Transfer a Contacts File

The Olga contacts list is stored in a dedicated database, not on the SIM card and not in the phone’s standard contacts list. Below is the procedure to retrieve this list and re-import it into a new Olga phone:


Retrieve the contacts file (contactList.csv)

By email

From model 4 onwards, it is possible to retrieve the list by email.

1) Check that the old Olga device is up to date in Menu > Update
2) Send the list by email in Menu > Contacts list > Send list by email

If you cannot retrieve the list using this method, follow the method below.


or via USB cable

If you have a Mac (Apple): download Android File Transfer (or another transfer tool) and follow the steps below:

If you have a PC, the Android device can connect directly.

1) Connect your phone to your computer using a USB cable.

2) On the Olga device, make sure the USB mode is set to “File transfer” and not “Charge only”.

As with any Android phone, you can check the USB connection mode via Menu > Settings > Others > Use the search bar at the top and search for “USB” > Select “USB configuration”.

3) Once the device is properly connected, you can access the Olga device’s storage. Copy / Paste or Move the file contactList.csv to your computer.


Import the contacts file onto the new Olga

Via Wi-Fi Direct (hotspot sharing)

This method is available from version 3.11.

1) Enable hotspot sharing on Olga in Menu > Settings > Others > Network & Internet > Hotspot & tethering

2) Enable the hotspot server in Menu > Contacts list > Import List > Note the “http://.........” link displayed.

3) On the device where the contactList.csv file is stored, connect to the hotspot created by the new Olga device. Then, in a browser, open the “http://.........” link provided in step 2.


or via USB cable

2) On the Olga device, make sure the USB mode is set to “File transfer” and not “Charge only”.

3) Once the device is properly connected, you can access the Olga device’s storage.

4) Copy / Paste or Move the file contactList.csv to the device’s root folder (the first level).

5) On the new Olga device, go to Menu > Contacts list and tap “Load”.
