Hanging up during calls

The Olga phone allows a call to be ended easily from the touchscreen or, depending on the model, with the button located on the side of the device.

As the screen is responsive, a simple press on the hang-up area ends the call.

When the call ends, the phone may announce the reason for the hang-up by voice, helping the user better understand what happened.

Understanding end-of-call announcements

“The call has ended” means that the user hung up from the screen.

“Call ended” or a specific beep means that the user hung up using the button located on the side of the phone.

“Your correspondent has hung up” generally means that the end of the call came from the other person or from the mobile network.

If the call ends without any particular message, it is possible that an accidental press was made on the hang-up area located at the bottom center of the screen.

Tips for holding the phone properly

During a call, we recommend holding the phone by the sides, without pressing on the screen.

As the loudspeaker is activated by default during calls, it is also possible to simply place the device flat on a table.

This position helps limit accidental presses on the screen and maintains good listening quality during the call.

Listening at the ear during a call

By default, the loudspeaker is activated during calls.

It is however possible to listen to the call privately, as with a standard phone.

To do this, simply hold the phone to your ear: the proximity sensor located at the top of the device will automatically turn off the loudspeaker.

To reactivate the loudspeaker, simply place the phone flat again.

We do not recommend holding the device in front of your face during a call. The proximity sensor could interpret the presence of your nose or mouth as if the phone were held to your ear, and automatically turn off the loudspeaker.
